How To Find Good Resume in Quicktime

While I was preparing for  a fresher’s résume, I needed few résumés for reference. And I needed fresher résumé to be precise. I turned to Google like I do for everything in life.

I searched for a while using the query “sample freshers resume“. I wasn’t happy with the quality of resumes I found through this query. A simple idea struck me.

I performed a Google search with query “Freshers resume filetype:doc“. The results were amazing. I found thousands of quality freshers resumes.

Google has a special filter called filetype, using which you could search only for documents with a particular filetype. In this case, documents with extension “.doc”, i.e., word documents only.

I wondered if this filetype trick worked with experienced resumes too. I modified my search and typed “Java developer resume filetype:doc“. The results were marvelous again. But now, there was a problem. I needed only the resumes from India.

I could do two things:

Modify the Search query to “Java developer resume india filetype:doc“
Select the option “pages from India” in www.google.co.in
Both of them work like magic. Voila, this is the trick. If you are in urgent need a sample resume in your niche, type your experience keywords followed by filetype:doc . And if you need resume format specific to a particular country, go to the localized Google website of that country and select the radio button to filter the results only from that country.

This trick can save you a lot of time and energy. Especially when you are in a hurry of creating a resume for that dream job opportunity that knocks your inbox doors unexpectedly.
